It’s bike season now that all the snow has melted, and we have a special find for all you mommies looking for the perfect bike accessory for your wee little biker. Dringdring makes the most fabulous hand painted bicycle bells we have ever had the pleasure of ringing. Princesses, frogs cupcakes, ladybugs and lizards…you name it and they have it. Done with flare and tons of originality, these bells are baked after they are painted so that harsh weather won’t make them rust and fade. Our favorite? It’s a toss up between the nurse and the little princess. The bright colors and the sound of the bell bring us back to being five years old and flying down the street without our training wheels. Have a peek at Dringdring’s gorgeous bells and you’ll be hooked too…just thought we’d warn ya.
You just have to embrace all the rain that Spring brings. No need to mope about…just gotta have the right gear to get out their and enjoy dancing in the raindrops. We’ve been outfitting our family in Hatley rainwear for years and give it a stylish and functional thumbs up. This year we went for their Later Alligator boots and coat for our little man. It’s lined so it keeps him warm in the chilly wet weather and snaps shut so he can learn how to put on his coat easily…freeing up mommy’s hands. The coats run a little big, however that gives you room for another layer and the coats tend to last two seasons. Love the stunning shade of green and the alligators are adventurous and appealing to our particular toddler. Long known as a celeb fave and worn by Apple Martin, Hatley is the A-List place to get all your Spring time outerwear.
Dressing like Miss Suri Cruise is not as difficult as it sounds. Her stylish mommy has an eye for classy, wearable frocks that occasionally fall into the affordable category. Katie Holmes is known for mixing couture with hip and original finds, and now her tot is following in her fashionable footsteps. One unforgettable dress Suri was photographed wearing came from a stunning collection made by the fabulous team at NoKo. We loved their designs so much we thought we’d let our tot see how it feels to dress like the most stylish toddler in Hollywood. Inspired by Japan and the beautiful tenugui fabric used by the Japanese, NoKo manages to merge fresh and modern styles with traditional and flattering cuts. We fell for their futaba dress in teal…so comfy and perfect for all year round. Pair it with some jeans or leggings for cool spring days and fancy sandals for a mid summer party. Very versatile and absolutely A-list…just don’t show up at the same premiere as Miss Cruise wearing it.
Finding the perfect bib is no easy task. How many times have you bought one only to toss it in the bin cause it just didn’t live up to it’s promise? We have been on the hunt for a bib made to adsorb all the drools and moisture that comes along with teething. We found just what we were looking for when we heard about Skibz, makers of a hip kerchief type bib. It’s absolutely perfect for teethers who need to wear a bib all day to keep their snazzy clothes dry and comfy and also great for breastfed and bottle fed babies too, to keep all those inevitable dribbles under control. Celeb mommy Natascha McElhone dressed her tot in a gorgeous red Skibz bib for a photo shoot for Hello magazine and we heard that Brooke Shields was a fan when her tots were young. We went for the super absorbent Organic Vanilla and the Brown Cow. They both really dressed up our Mr Drooly’s outfit and felt super soft on his face…and did we mention they’re British too? That ups their cool factor by a million in our books.
We all remember Alice from when we were little. It’s an exciting story, full of wonder, the unknown and lots of unexpected events. We just received our copy of Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll : A Classic Illustrated Edition from Chronicle Books. It’s unique in that it features illustrations of Alice and her mad friends from several artists from the 19th and 20th century. Stunning pictures that you just want to frame about your toddler’s room. We’ve been reading chapters each night and love seeing each artist’s interpretation of that curious little girl. Stylish enough for the coffee table and entertaining enough for your child. Perfect.
We are absolute die hard Livie & Luca fans…like screaming 1960’s Beatles type fans. Maybe a little extreme, but you’d understand if your little one owned a pair of their fabulous shoes. The designs are original, hand made and created with our fragile environment in mind. A celeb mommy must have as Marcia Cross and Brook Shield’s are known to be Livie & Luca fans. We heard Madonna’s little David has some too, along with her buddy Gwyneth Paltrow. Quite a following, if you ask us. We went for the pink Fun Dots as they just seem to scream Spring. Love how flexible they are and the wide foot keeps our girl safe and happily running all over the playground. On our wish list? Livie’s bold and bright Bloom. Gorgeous green sandal with a pink bud that just pops out at ya. If only these came in “mommy sizes”. Who ever thought we’d have toddler shoe envy?
