Can we gush about our favorite hair accessory company just one more time? Really, we do test out a lot of hair clippies, and hands down Out To Tea makes the sweetest and most stylish ones around. And they stay put...honestly, they never slip out. We've been dressing up out tots golden locks with Out To Tea's fab Christmas Holiday collection. When in doubt, go with tried and true momma. It's a fact for everything from clothes to dishes to baby toys...always stick with the classics. We followed that rule when doing Santa's Christmas shopping this year and went with Fisher Price. Reliable, educational and always a crowd pleaser, Fisher Price has tons of new toys that will keep your tot having fun under the tree and then some. What did we choose? Well since the toddlers can't read, we'll tell ya. We decided on the Precious Places Swan Palace and the vintage inspired Little People Play & Go Farm (50th birthday edition). The palace has a banquet hall, treasure chest and has enough pink dazzle to satisfy the little princess of your house. The special edition farm reminds us of our own childhood play time and really looks just like the one we all grew up with...yes we are a little sentimental around here when it comes to toys. Best part about choosing Fisher Price this year? You still have time, because they are carried by most department stores. So skip the uncertainty and pick some toys that you know they'll love as much as you did.

Well, we think you should plan a fancy schmancy New Years Day brunch. Really. A perfect way to start 2010 if you ask us. Plus, if you're a tired mommy who can't stay out to party the night before (9pm is the new midnight momma) this will be a special way to mark the holiday. You can include the whole family in the prep and invite all your mommy & daddy friends, and their wee ones as well. We'll be making some delish dishes from our new Stonewall Kitchen Breakfast cookbook. Famous for their restaurant and cooking school in Maine, this cookbook is full of yummy recipes and tips for making breakfast work for your busy life. We've been testing out some scrumptious recipes, like the whole grain blueberry pancakes, their eggs baked in pancetta cups (to die for!) and the basil and goat cheese muffins (brilliant on a busy day)...all very satisfying, tasty and easy to make. We swear. Stonewall's recipe book also has a great section of breakfast menus, perfect for whatever you have planned (we hope the husband reads the "breakfast in bed" menu in time for Valentines).

With Christmas around the corner, we have a lot of dressing up to do. We had a look at Shirin NYC's kids collection and almost passed it by due to the fact that it's just too fabulous...maybe even for us. Could we pull it off? Would we look hip and stylish in their high end tee's and dresses like all the urban mommies and daughters who are in the know about Shirin's unbelievably fresh line? You'll never know till ya try, so we went for their gorgeous hand silk screened Butterfly In Frame dress from the Holiday collection. So soft and so luxurious. We've been fans of Shampoodle since their debut and we think this time they've outdone themselves. This particular collection is inspired by all things Rock-n-Roll. That "rolled out of bed ,but don't I look cool" look. The best time of the day around here is always storytime. Every night brings something new and exciting, and hopefully sleepy eyes and a good nights sleep (and a glass of vino for mommy and daddy). Can't wait till Christmas Eve when we get to read A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas to our little ones. We has a sneak peak and give it a Celeb Baby Clothes thumbs up. It's based on the hit musical of the same name and brings to life the adventures of young Fritz, and the trouble making Mouse King. The book includes a read along CD by Ralph Covert of Ralph's World, and a great selection of songs from the fabulous musical. Perfect reading material for a cosy Christmas Eve, all tucked into bed. We can't wait!

Hatley always keeps us nice and warm and super cosy over the holidays with their must have jammies. They make cute look cool.
