Just because it’s windy, rainy and even snowing a little lately doesn’t mean we’re hiding and staying indoors.  We still like to take baby on long winter strolls and toddle on down for a hot latte or two.  Instead of piling the blankies high, we’ve been using our brilliant new b blanket from Rain Or Shine Kids.  It’s resistant to water and wind and ties very conveniently onto our stroller.  No more chasing babe’s blankets on blustery days.  Love the patterns on the soft polar fleece and the ribbon ties add a stylish and practical touch.  We went with the green and beige Ring design, but all three patterns look modern and celeb worthy.  Rain Or Shine Kids also makes the now famous Woobee all weather blanket that we still love and use almost everyday too.  We found that they both make a great last minute picnic blanket or impromptu nursing cover. If we had a “Top 10 Baby Items Ever” list (which we really should!)…this blanket would be on it.  It’s a hit with celeb mommies too.  Just ask Allison Sweeney, Angela Bassett and Marcia Cross.  Have a look at the b blanket, and their line of gorgeous bibs and burp clothes too at www.rainorshinekids.com

Rain Or Shine Kids is having a site wide 20% off sale until the 21st using coupon code ‘holiday20′….Yipee!

oliver Maternity Clothes For The Stylish Mommy

Yes, gone are the days of big yellow bows on the bosom of your unflattering maternity shirt momma. Nowadays, the words style and maternity can go hand in hand if you know where to shop…and we’re always in the know on where to find fab maternity wear. Our latest pregnancy craving found us shopping at Isabella Oliver, a brilliant company based in London that creates the most gorgeous, modern and easy to wear pregnancy clothes you’ll find anywhere. The fabrics hug where they’re supposed to and the cuts are amazingly flattering. Our favorite piece? Their hip little wrap dress. Love the ruffles and classy bracelet sleeves. It comes in four different shades and we went with the bold plum. Perfect for a Holiday brunch or a night on the town before your new bambino arrives. Celebrity moms that have sported Isabella Oliver to accentuate their gorgeous baby curves are Minnie Driver, Gwen Stefani and everyone’s favorite feisty little republican Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Have a look at Isabella Oliver’s shop at www.isabellaoliver.com and check out their super chic Cocktail Attire, an absolute necessity while you sip your virgin Bloody Mary on New Years Eve.

Decorating your child’s room can be challenging. You want it to look fun and inviting, while displaying some of mommy’s style too. You want a little of your chic taste mixed with their adventurous imagination. We found a fabulous design company called Whistle & Wink that keeps both the toddler and I happy when it comes to decorating her room. We went with their Toile China Doll theme and simply love it. The quality is top of the line, the pattern is classy and adds a retro Asian flare to her room. We especially love the hand stitched pink Nightingale Pillow. It’s absolutely gorgeous and brings the whole room together. Pillows make a great starter piece when you’re trying to decide how to decorate your tot’s room. This timeless pillow could inspire you in so many ways. Have a peek at Whistle & Winks gorgeous creations at www.whistleandwink.com

Such A Little Spitfire

We have heard such fabulous things about Maclaren strollers. We see them everywhere we go, and wanted to know what all the fuss was about. What makes them so popular? On a recent trip to NYC all the stylish mommies we ran into were pushing their tots along Madison in a Maclaren buggy. We were lucky enough to test out their limited edition Spitfire stroller, designed in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Spitfire Aircraft ourselves. With only a certain amount in production, we felt quite special strolling along to the local cafe in our snazzy new wheels. Decked out in true Spitfire green and wearing a bullseye on the hood, this stroller is class and style all rolled into one. Love the reversible liner with camouflage for the boys on one side and pink and green plaid for the ladies on the other. It comes with the best reinforced rain cover we’ve ever had (tried it out on the rainiest day ever and not a drop fell on our sleeping tot). It has a quick umbrella fold that makes it very appealing for shopping trips and travel, but it also rides sturdy enough for long walks with the family thanks to the tough aluminum frame. Maclaren is a celebrity household name, with hip stars like Michelle Williams, Cate Blanchett and Maggie Gyllenhaal all owning one themselves. After using our Spitfire, we now know why Maclaren has such a loyal following. Have a look at their site and see which buggy fits your style at www.maclarenbaby.com

Our Favorite Christmas T-Shirts

Trying to find just the right combo of style and comfort in childrens clothes can be impossible sometimes. We’ve been searching for the perfect festive t-shirts for our wee ones and it’s been interesting to say the least. If we see one more blinged out Santa Clause or rockin’ snowman we’ll loose it. Thank goodness we checked out our old friend Little Uni. This year they have designed some really fresh Holiday tees that once we saw them, we had to have them. Their clothes are handcrafted in Chicago (Hello Oprah…you need to feature them) and have the most original appliques we’ve come across yet.. You can personalize the appliques with a name or keep it minimal and simple with one word definitions. We absolutely love our “Merry” shirt with a green and heather gray argyle patterned tree. So festive, but in an understated and hip kind of way. Our other favorite is their “Twinkle” long sleeved tee with delicate green flowers (they look like mini wreathes). Who needs glitter when your shirt says twinkle? Little Uni makes hats, pants and onesies too So if you’re like us and like to keep things modern and hip, have a look at Little Uni’s new creations at www.littleuni.com and celebrate with some good taste.

Be Warm & Stylish

2782L 2 Be Warm & Stylish

Ok, we admit it. We have a rehab level addiction to Hatley, a brilliant Canadian clothing company that not only has Hollywood wrapped around their well dressed finger but us busy mommies too. They are our reliable “go to” shop for all things soft, comfy, and warm. They have been featured by Oprah herself in her O Magazine, and in Vogue Bambini too. We’ve been a fan of their pink Prancing Horses pattern for quite some time, as it is whimsical enough for my wee one and sophisticated enough for mama. The fact that it’s Apple Martin’s choice as well has nothing to do with it…well maybe just a little. We are thrilled that Hatley now makes winter gear. Love the boots…so easy to put on and take off, which will save you so much time getting all the kiddies dressed this winter (who knew you need an extra half hour just to bundle them all up). The velcro strap tightens them up with ease and the coating around the foot keeps my little girls’ feet completely dry. Oh Hatley…what will you temp us with next?
Time to sit down and take a breath, because we have a huge givaway mommy. Hatley will generously gift one lucky Celebrity Baby Clothes reader with a Bear Country Snow Jacket and a matching pair of Bear boots. Too fabulous! To win you must email us at celebritybabyclothescontest@gmail.com and tell us the name of your favorite Hatley Kid’s PJ print. They have some new ones for Christmas, so it’s ok if you tell us a few of your faves. Contest ends December 5th at midnight. Good Luck!

Pucker Up Santa

We love things that come in tiny packages. Especially when the package is shiny, smells yummy and is vintage looking. Must be why we are smitten with our fabulous three pack of organic lip balms from Baby Bear Shop. Featured in this months British Vogue, and gifted to all those lucky celebs at the SAG awards (they must have lost my ticket in the mail…) Baby Bear is making quite a name for itself among the Hollywood crowd.  In our stylish opinion, we think this is the “it” lip balm of the year. Love the smooth feel and the touch of shine it’s added to our lips. If we were forced to choose a favorite balm we’d have to pick the pomegranate. Perfect for all those stockings you need to stuff. Baby Bear Shop is also well known for their cult classic Cheeky Baby Butter, which we are utterly addicted to as well. Super hydrating and made with all things organic and plant derived like lavender oil and shea butter. Makes a fantastic massage cream and keeps your baby’s bum chap free. Even Nordstrom’s swanky spa is using it in their exclusive services. Have a look at all of Baby Bear’s mommy and baby skin products at www.babybearshop.com
